Morgan Howell

Morgan is Chief of Staff at Lin Pictures and assists Dan Lin, CEO, in overseeing the company’s slate of projects in the live action feature, animated feature and television departments. Additionally, she specializes in tracking books for adaption for all departments. Before joining the Lin Pictures team in July 2016, Morgan worked at Columbia Pictures where she worked in feature film development assisting one of the Vice Presidents of Production. Prior to that, she had various internships around town, including Michael de Luca Productions and she worked on the first season of the DisneyXD show, “Lab Rats.” Born in Missouri, Morgan spent the first 8 years of her life hopping between a few places in the Midwest before moving to Los Angeles with her family. She attended the University of Southern California (Fight On!) majoring in Entertainment Communication and Film.

Outside of work, you will find Morgan at the beach, LACMA, hiking, mid-century modern furniture shopping or in line at one of her favorite donut shops.

Childhood ambition: Read as many books as I can, as fast as I can.

Fondest memory: My travels around the world with my sister.

Soundtrack: Anything and everything I can dance to or sing loudly by myself in the car.

Retreat: Saltaire, Fire Island.

Wildest dream: To travel to outer space.

Proudest moment: Climbing a portion of the Great Wall of China.

Biggest challenge: Stepping back and simply allowing things to happen the way they are supposed to, instead of constantly trying to take control of every situation.

Alarm clock: The sun. No really, if the sun is up, I am too.

Perfect day: Sunrise hike, ocean swim, large coffee, board games with friends, wine, sushi, seeing a new movie. Or, a full day exploring a new place.

First job: Nanny.

Indulgence: Donuts & iced coffee.

Last purchase: Two vintage theater posters for my apartment, which desperately needs wall décor.

Favorite movie: (in alphabetical order because I love them all equally) 2001: A Space Odyssey, A.I., Almost Famous, Breakfast Club, Busby Berkeley films, Ex Machina, Finding Nemo, The Goonies, Pulp Fiction, The Silence of the Lambs.

Inspiration: My sister.

My life: Has an incredible first act. Second and third are still in development.
