Courteney Tarantin

Vice President, Television

Courteney is Vice President of the Television Department. Before joining Rideback, she worked at Sony Picture Television’s TriStar TV assisting in projects in development and production, and prior to that was an assistant at CAA in Scripted & Reality TV. Courteney attended Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications majoring in Television-Radio-Film, during which time she first came to LA to spend a semester interning in TV at Happy Madison Productions. Courteney was born and raised on the seacoast in New Hampshire, and while she will always be an East Coaster at heart she now happily calls the West Coast home.

Childhood ambition: To be the next Barbara Walters.

Fondest memory: Being crowned Barbie for the day at age 4 at Disney World.

Soundtrack: Anything I can dance to.

Retreat: The beach.

Wildest dream: To produce the Emmy winner for Best Drama or Best Comedy.

Proudest moment: Moving to LA after graduation.

Biggest challenge: Reaching anything on the top shelf.

Alarm clock: Always set 3 just in case.

Perfect day: Starts with an iced coffee on a balcony overlooking the ocean, ends in that same spot with a glass of wine, and the in-between is spent with family and friends.

First job: Dance teacher.

Indulgence: Sephora is my kryptonite.

Last purchase: Comforter from Anthropologie.

Favorite movie: My Best Friends Wedding, The Departed, The Breakfast Club, Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill, The Sound of Music, Stand by Me, Training Day, Superbad.

Inspiration: My parents.
